3+1 Pathway to Masters とは？

南オーストラリア大学で開講している 3+1 Pathway to Masters パッケージでは、3年制の学士号を取得した後、1年間の修士号（通常は2年制）への入学許可を得ることができます。つまり、学士号開始から、修士号を卒業まで、合計4年間で終えることができるコースとして提供しています。

通常の進学ルート	Bachelor of Business （3年）を修了 ↓ Master of Management （2年）の合計 5年間
3+1 Pathway to Masters	Bachelor of Business （3年）を修了 ↓ Master of Management （1年）の合計 4年間

3+1 Pathway to Masters の仕組み

学士2~3年次にて選択した4つのコースまたは選択科目を修士レベルのコースに置き換えることで、Master 修士号1年間へ進む道が開けます。　また、3+1 Pathway to Masters は、出願時からパッケージで申請することが出来ます。

［注意］3+1 Pathway to Masters では、修士課程に進むためには、学士課程の2年目終了時にGPA要件を満たす必要があります。

3+1 Pathway to Masters のメリット

3+1 Pathway to Masters を選択する上での最大のメリットは、学士号と修士号を4年間で取得することで、留学期間を短縮すること、なのですが、実際にはコレ一つではありません。
1年間短縮することと同時に、修士号の学位を得る、知識やスキルの幅を広げることでキャリアの可能性を広げることに直結し、生涯年収にも影響します。

学士号を3年間で卒業後、一定のキャリアを積んだのちに修士号を学ぶのが一般的ではありますが、早くから自身のキャリア設計と目標がはっきりしている方には、最短ルートでの修士号取得はメリットしかないと言えるのではないでしょうか。

日本の高校卒業からの進学ステップ

南オーストラリア大学の場合、日本の一般的な高校卒業後、ダイレクトに学部へ進学することができません。しかし、大学附属カレッジ SAIBTのDiplomaコースから2年次に編入することが可能です。
例えば、ビジネス学であれば、SAIBT Diploma of Business（1年）＋Bachelor of Business （2年）＋Master of Management （1年）などになります。
