オーストラリアの各大学は、大学・大学院進学者向けに返済不要の学費一部免除型の奨学金を提供しています。

奨学金は成績優秀者向けのものが多く、中には受給のハードルが高いものもあります。一方で、成績は関係なく、一定の条件を満たすことで対象となったり、入学者全員が対象となる嬉しい奨学金もあります。

シドニー大学(University of Sydney)は、学術的に高い評価を受けるオーストラリアのトップ8大学（Group of 8）の1つです。成績優秀者向けの奨学金が多いトップ大学の中で、志望理由書を提出することで学費20％免除の奨学金を提供しています。
